The Subclass 103 Parent visa allows parents of settled Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to live in Australia permanently. Due to caps, queue times are very long — the contributory parent route is faster.
Eligibility requirements
- Be the parent of a settled Australian citizen, PR, or eligible NZ citizen
- Meet the balance-of-family test
- Have a sponsor (usually your child)
- Meet health and character requirements
- Provide an Assurance of Support
